About Us

REED

Reed was born and raised in Eureka, South Dakota. He is a graduate of Mitchell Technical Institute with an Associate degree in Architectural Design and Building Construction. He met his wife, Andrea, through a mutual friend at the Lifelight Festival in 2009. They married in 2012 and settled in Orange City while Andrea finished school at Northwestern College. Since then, they have been faithful and active members of First Reformed Church in Orange City. He and his wife have been blessed with two beautiful daughters, Grace and Selah, and are expecting again in November.

Reed is excited to use the skills he began cultivating at the age of 16 to follow God's newest calling on his life. Reed is a superb craftsman with his attention to detail and drive to provide his clients a high-quality product. He has taken on projects from large to small over the years- anything from a simple end table to an extendable table with a bench to remodeling his own home. Reed is determined to do Kingdom work through his craftsman services.

LON

Lon was born and raised on his family farm near Sutton, Nebraska. He grew up raising hogs and crop farming. He continued his family's legacy on the home place for 40 years until he retired from farming in 2018. Lon and his wife, Linda, moved to Orange City in 2019. Here they have built their own home and enjoy being semi-retired. Lon stays busy in the shop with projects, and Linda enjoys her sewing and grandma duties. Together they have raised 4 children- Kalina, Kyle, Justin, and Andrea; and are proud grandparents to 8, soon to be 9, grandchildren.

Lon enjoys metal fabrication, woodworking, and designing projects. You will see him working alongside Reed, his son-in-law, on the job site. Lon takes his time in ensuring all details of your project work together toward a beautiful end product. His love of metal fabrication will also add a unique touch to Kingdom Contracting LLC. He looks forward to working with you as a client, with his kids by his side.

KALINA

Kalina was born and raised in Sutton, Nebraska. She attended Wayne State College where she graduated with her Bachelors degree in Chemistry-Health Science. She then went on to attend Creighton University and earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. In 2007, she married her husband Luke and they moved around the country with his job. In 2014 they settled back in Omaha, Nebraska. Kalina and her husband have been blessed with 4 kids- Logan, Peyton, Malia, & Beau. In 2020, after practicing as a physical therapist for 13 years, Kalina transitioned to being a full time stay at home mom after the birth of their youngest.

Kalina is looking forward to the opportunity to be able to work from home as she supports her brother-in-law (Reed) and father (Lon) in her role as business manager. Kalina has a passion for planning & organization, cares about little details, and loves to problem solve and dream up ways to design spaces that are purposeful and beautiful. She is excited to help facilitate a smooth project experience for you and your project needs.
